Business analytics company on Great Place to Work list

Business analytics software and services company SAS ranked second after Microsoft on the list of Top 25 World’s Best Multinational Workplaces issued by the Great Place to Work Institute, a global research, consulting and training firm.

Employees of the business analytics specialists rated the company highly on metrics including healthcare, childcare and work/life balance.

Great Place to Work recognised several global offices of SAS in its decision, with SAS corporate headquarters in the USA and SAS Norway both number one in their respective country’s lists of Best Companies to Work For, with SAS Australia, SAS Belgium, SAS Brazil, SAS Canada, SAS Finland, SAS France, SAS Germany, SAS India, SAS Italy, SAS Korea, SAS Mexico, SAS Netherlands, SAS Portugal and SAS Sweden among the top workplaces worldwide.

“SAS Australia’s inclusion in the country-level ‘Best Places to Work’ has become an annual highlight for us in recent times and the same has been true for a number of other SAS operations around the world,” said Gordon Clubb, managing director of SAS Australia and New Zealand, and regional director of SAS South East Asia.

“This new distinction, which features only 25 organisations at the worldwide level and places us at number two, positively reinforces our brand attributes.”

SAS chief executive Jim Goodnight said the recognition comes from a place of trust and respect for people. “Everything we do grows out of that philosophy. The real reward is what employees give back to the company and our customers.”

According to Great Place to Work, to be eligible for this new list, companies must appear on five or more national Great Place to Work lists in the past year and have more than 5,000 employees worldwide, with at least 40 percent working outside the company’s home country.
